What's a good chew toy for a small dog?

Do you have an idea what is the best chew toy for a small dog? I've previously owned larger dogs and haven't had this problem. Is there a toy that is better for small dogs than big dogs?

Tennis balls, small noisy toys, anything that they think deserves a good thrashing.

Actually I have two little yorkies and we get a tire bitter. It is found at most pet stores. You can get them in any size and shape! And I find them very helpful!
