What would i say?

I'm watching Fresh Prince on Nick @ Nite and when Will put his hand on the Bible and thought to myself,as an Atheist,what would I say when an officer says So help me God?

If you are an extremely strong practicing atheist, then that would be one thing, but usually when people are atheists, it just means that they are ignorant to the word of God. So if you know what's good for you, just lie.. since you don't believe in God you don't care if you sin, right?

I've been in that situation, where I've been in the court and had to swear on the bible.

It's a technicality - you just do it...in a sense, it gives you the right to lie through your teeth if you so choose, lol

Just to add to this. Im Christian. But this is a piece of crap people should really change. The world should be secular. This aint religious freedom

I know that it's not in your ethical beliefs but I would think that the best idea would be to just say I do.
