they look exactly like a fake pearl necklace...
take it to a jeweler or a pawn shop and ask them if they could check it for you, they usually do this for free
real pearls are heavier than fake pearls.
I hear that real pearls are kind of gritty, like if you were to scratch it with a fingernail or something.
well... I heard if you bite it an it breaks its fake. but I don't really reccommend trying that.
If you scratch it with your fingernail and it feels gritty instead of smooth then it's real. Sorry if this doesn't make sense but you'll probably know what I mean if you try it.
Real pearls warm up when you hold them in your hand for a while but a marble will stay cooler against your skin. A pearl necklace will become the same temperature as your body as you wear it - it's the only jewellery that does that, as far as I know.
The easiest way is to rub it gently against your tooth. A fake one will slip like plastic, a real one will gently grind like a smooth stone.
Or - toss it in a glass of vinegar overnight. If it's gone the next morning, it was real.
Just joking, don't do that.

How to know if my pearl is real?
I have a small pearl looking marble size item. I would like to know if it is a real pearl or a marble
