Ok I want to get a double helix piercing and I was gonna make the appointment for thursday but I usually have a lot of trouble with ear piercings I dont know why they just never seem to heal that great for the first few months so my mom said I should just get one then go back for the other in a couple weeks but im not sure.what do you think should I get them at the same time or get one and then wait a while and get the other one and how much should one helix piercing cost?
If you have problems with ear piercings I'd suggest just getting one to begin with to see how your body reacts. However I would not suggest going back in a few weeks, I'd say more along the lines of a few months. Piercings are tricky and if you have a bad history with them then you need to make sure it is completly healed before you add anything new.
Make sure you keep it very, very clean. Dont play with it or touch it unless you are cleaning it (and only after you've washed your hands first!) Keep your hair off of it as much as possible, the oils can cause build up and/or keloids making it hard to heal. When you do clean it dont use alcohol or peroxide because that will kill the good and bad bacteria. Use bactine or antibacterial soap instead. If it is sore, sching, swollen, or red do not change the jewelry.
If you can try to leave it alone and keep it clean that should help the healing a lot. And piercing them seperately will probably help too. I pierced my spider bites seperately bc everytime I tried to do them at the same time my body couldnt handle it and they wouldnt heal, but they look great now!
The cost depends on where you live and what shop you go to. Most shops around here (in Georgia) have a shop minimum of $40 and the cost goes up depending on the jewelry used and where the piercing is going.
