What shoes should I wear with a shirt dress?

hello! Asked by fairycakes about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

I have a black shirt dress, casual in style, its above knee length so I'm wondering what shoes / boots to wear with it ? I think heels make it look to dressy and boots too wintery...confused ??

I think some cute flats. Not too much of a heel, that may look too dressy.
