What's the tallest mountain in the world, any ides?

Jeremy Goodrich yep, that's me Asked by thedude over 2 years ago, 11 answers.

I was thinking it was mount kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. However, it makes more sense that it would be something like Mount Everest in Tibet. Does anybody know what the tallest mountain is?

*Scientifically incorrect as it may be, it makes me laugh.* Answered by tiffany88 on Dec 21, 2006, 04:18PM

Mauna Kea in Hawaii is the world's tallest mountain! Its base is on the sea floor and it rises 33,480 feet , reaching 13,796 feet (4205 m) above sea level.
While Mt. Everest is the world's tallest mountain above sea level (highest elevation on earth), Mauna Kea is still quite spectacular.
