A: So molestation is for children and rape is for adults? So you couldn't say a adult was molested? Or a child was raped? :S

A: yeah sorta
If a adult was touch in a forceful and unwanted way. then it probably will still be call rape
if a child was then it probably would be molestation

A: Rape is forced sexual intercourse. Anybody can be raped, no matter the age or gender. Molestation is basically any inappropriate sexual advances, for example, touching, rubbing, etc... anybody can get molested but sadly it's mainly children. :(

A: Molestation doesn't really have anything to do with children as far as the definition of the word is concerned. Yes, it is often used in conjunction with stories about abused children, but that's a definition by association only.
Molestation means to make any annoying or unwanted sexual advances toward someone, adult or children, up to and including forcing sexual contact on them.
Rape refers to a forced act of sexual intercourse and applies, again, to both children and adults. If a child is raped, you won't find many people who would call it being ''molested.''

A: I always understood rape to be the sexual act and molestation touch and feel (both inappropriate of course)
