What kind of writing style is better?

Horse Asked by prettysoutherngal about 1 year ago, 1 answer.

Do you think an informal book like the 'a million pieces' or something that follows formal writing rules, like 'harry potter' is a better kind of book to read?

Hi,

I like both. I did really enjoy James Fray's novel, the stream of consciousness writing is fantastic. If you liked that style, check out anything by Faulkner. As I Lay Dying is my favorite, personally, but the writing style changes based on the chapter, because the narrator changes. Very good book.
