From what I understand, chronic use of laxatives can cause the body to become dependant on them, so that you can no longer have normal movements.

Do you have backup for your answer? example, is your answer sound proof or something you heard from someone else?

Thanks for your post though.

Read this site - scroll down to just over half way to the 'excessive laxative abuse' section and it explains how expelling water from your body completely distorts your electrolyte balances. If you are not medically minded, it is hard to imagine the range of damage this has on many systems in your body. You should also be worried about your heart and your bones...

If you want to be slim, eat fruit, veg and fish, drink plenty and eat little portions often 5-6times. This way, anything you eat passes through you rather than hanging around and as you eat often your body never enters starvation mode and so does not 'hold on to food' for storage. I blend up 6-8 portions of fruit with milk for breakfast - great for your immune system and the figure.

Also sleep - the body uses a lot of energy while sleeping and when you don't sleep your body tries to substitute sleep loss with food. Only eat real food. Crisps are not real, chocolate is not real - but Green Blacks 70%cocoa is fine. Coffee helps you stay alert and also aids the passage of substance through the bowel - never exceed 3 cups per day and don't consume caffeine after 3pm - hello decaff.

Do daily stretches 30mins - these create more lean muscle, and excercise hard - until you sweat- get out of the house at least once a day. This will also help you sleep well at night.

Aesthetically - get a spray tan if you must - this makes you look slimmer and even try straightening your hair!!! - but you're the best person to assess what suits you.

Smile too - and carry your head high on your shoulders - this gives you a thinner neck line and will do wonders for your self esteem - oh and choose a mirror that is flattering - it's amazing what difference the correct mirror can make.

Work on your posture - you can loose pounds by using your body correctly. Hold stomach in, etc - everything you were taught at finishing school

For complete fulfilment, do a deed for someone else each day.
