Old enough to be of legal age in your area, for starters. That isn't all though. A person who is thinking of having a baby has to be certain that they can support the child and give it a loving and stable home. A woman in her 30's, who is addicted to drugs and is with a different man every night is certainly not old enough to get pregnant and have a baby. But a woman who is in her early 20's, with a faithful husband and plenty of financial security is old enough to have children.

I'd say mid 20's is a great age to start.

For you, in India, about 19-22 is the best for the first pregnancy.

I think I heard somewhere that physically you body is at it's best around late teens.
although emotionally, financially, education, law, gets in the way of that idea.
if you think in history girls would marry and start having kids in their mid-teens!
