What if judism and buddhism was the creation of christianity?

me at the beach Asked by patron_of_death over 2 years ago, 9 answers.

Looking at the dates of relegion, Judism came first then buddhism then christianity. Is it possiple that the romans saw the effect that judism and buddhism had on the world and formed christianity? The enlightment of buddhism but the God of Judism. The...

eightfold path and the ten commandments. The idea that since roman had so many relegions that maybe it adopted some of them to create one. Used events in the past to varifiy the history of the relegion. It sounds crazy, but its just a what if question. Something for fun to mess with.

Poor assassin. Its ok. Agian this is a What if Question not a statement that this is how it is. Opinions is good to note. By the way islam started from a vision of Gaberael appearing to muhammed, and muhammed took it and taught it to his people and after some time they accepted. Not sure where your getting at with Ishmael and Sarah. Was she the servant that was suppose to have the child of the man, whose wife could not have one. Did god not intruct her on leaving anyways? Again, Buddhism did not take from the Bible, it was created from a man who seeked the reason for suffering and found a way to end suffering, which is more of a concept then a relegion since the topic of god is not discused in it. So it is a way for a men to remove suffering from their lives. Also it was before christianity, and judism was only taught to the jews, since God said not to teach to the gentiles. So there knowlegde of god would not have been spread to the non-jews. It wasn't intill the new testament when the gentiles could hear of its way. But yeah thats cool anyways, thanks for the comment everyone.

Judaism gave birth to Christianity which gave birth to Islam. None of these have to to with either Buddhism or Hinduism. Religious beliefs existed before the romans, before the Egyptians and even before the first civilization over 5000 years ago (Sumer). That is what paganism is...the old religions...usually with nature spirits and animal gods.

Old religions have always mixed with the new. They create different religions or sects, or just add themselves on to bigger religions without us ever noticing (ex.: the birth of Christ on the 25th of December is not written in the bible, the date was chosen to coincide with pagan winter rituals therefore transforming them into Christian ritual). The Romans like any other civilization held fast to religion because of the power it has on the masses.

As for the Roman religion it was a mix of the old Greek gods mixed with rural cult beliefs (ex.: animal spirits) that were eventually stamped out by the popularity of Christianity (after lost of bllod shed of course!).

Don't forget Zoroastrianism. Zoroaster predated Jesus by centuries but there are several interesting parallels. Zoroaster was baptised in a river, he cast out demons, restored sight to a blind man, and told believers about Heaven, Hell, judgement, and predicted an appocolypse. Zoroaster preached about a struggle between good and evil and that there was one true God. Many elements of Christianity can be found in Pagan religions.

If you read about Dionysis, Bacchus, Horus, Osiris, Krishna Mithra and Zoroaster you will find all sorts of things like virgin births, being born on December 25 (which Jesus wasn't), ressurecting the dead, curing the sick, restoring sight to the blind, teaching about good and evil, Heaven and Hell, predictions of appoclypse, etc. Seeeing so many elements of Christianity in previous religions makes some wonder if Christianity's Jesus is actually a composit of saviors from earlier religions.

Christianity was planned from the begining of the world... Islam came forth from Ishmael. If Sarah had been obedient, to wait on the promises of the Lord, there would not have been an Islam. Christianity was established thru direct revelation from God, and thru the power of his spirit, the other religions take from it, to form their own, just to confuse the issue. Satan always dilutes, or tries to. Why would he not challange what God had set up? Of course he would. And he is the author of all the different divisions of Christianity... again to confuse the issue.. to muddy the waters, anything that he can do to keep people from the fullness of what God had intended, he will and does do.Jesus came to establish a way, and it was his intent for us to be one, like he and the father are one, it hasn't happened... yet...
The newer versions of the bible, that are deviating from the truth, he is the author of... Satan .. is his name... confusion is his game.

This is a discussion on the origins of Christianity, silverwings. If you plan to convert us, do so in a reasonable manner, unbiased towards your religion. You deviate from the topic by offering what Satan tries to do to us to muddy the waters. Please be more insightful and give us a clear picture of your opinion without religion interfering. For those of us who are yet not converts, your theolistic vernaculars do not resonate well with our understandings. If you do plan on converting us anyway, please stoop down some off the pulpit and lend us your wisdom.
