My dog is a chuiawa and she is pregnant I found blood spots on the pad this morning and she is walking funny and licking herself is she gonna have her puppies? I put some dog pads down in the bathroom and a thick matress cover over the pads some food and water and her little bed in there should I have the lights off she is whining and wanting to come out of the bathroom what do I do? This is her first pregnancy.

has it been 63 days since she tied with the male, did you take her temp? Has it droped. Did you have a x-ray done to see how many and if she can have them? My chihuahua had 3 no problem her first litter and had one the second and needed a c-section. Not to be mean but sounds to me like you did not do your homework and could lose your dog and the puppies. She wants to come out because she may want your support, I could not leave my chihuahua’s side and even had to rip open the sac’s and use a bulb syringe to get fluid out of the puppies mouth. You may need to call a vet and get this done right and safe, you may run into trouble if you do not know what you are doing. how old is this dog.

I used to be a veterinary nurse. This dog needs to go to a vet if you are concerned as this breed can have problems giving birth, puppies can get stuck inside the dog as they have a narrow pelvis. May need an injection of Oxytocin and monitoring, possible caesarian required. You know your dog, so if you think she is in distress take her to be seen. Good luck, I hope it’s all fine :-)

If the dog is still walking weird why did you not tell your mom to take it to a vet. Would she not take you to the doctor if you were bleeding and walking weird? I just don’t get it, help me understand why your mom would not take your “pet” to the Vet
