What happened to the greek gods?

I am wondering if they really existed. What god, the creator of all the universe thought of people worshiping them. Are they the pagans?

Answer #1

Well the Greek gods were of the Greek MYTHology. All those gods and stories are myths! No one believes in them today, not even the Greeks. The only people that did were the ancient Greeks. Modern Greeks are almost all converted Christians. God made humanity to worship him.

Answer #2

Pagan litterly means all not abrahamic beliefs. So everything that’s not jewish, christian or Islam would fall under that word. The Greek gods were celebrated much like other gods are still being worshipped in this day and age and there are still plenty of people who still worship them. Some Wicca’s still worship the greek gods, others celebrate the egyptian or celtic gods.

Answer #3

Ugh, Clash of the Titans was such a horrible movie.

Answer #4

Now it is considered to be mythology. This makes it a myth. An interesting thought is that one day someone might ask the usual does the christian god exist or did it ever exist and everyone will answer that was a myth duh. There are people who believe in them still, but like every religion, the religions of today will eventually run their course and become myth. And who knowsd maybe they did exist until humans created new gods and things changed, we dont know how things work or if this is all just a story we tell people to make us feel safe that there are beings out there to protect us.

So I guess the answer is yes its a myth now, but do they or did they exist? We don’t know, just like nobody knows for sure if the christian god exists.

Answer #5

it was just a greek myth, just like your religions belives will be in the future when people come up with a new god or gods to worship.

Answer #6

It is called Greek Mythology. The people of those times worshipped many Gods so they are pagans. Clash of the Titans is about that whole Greek Mythology thing and their Gods. Plus that type of worship died once Christianity was introduced to the Greeks.
