To be honest, I've just recently come up with the idea that he may have looked middle eastern. Maybe with dark skin. After all, he was from Isreal... I doubt he could be as pasty white as everyone thinks he is.

We are all created in his image.

Only those who were there when he rose from the dead know what he truely looks like.

I agree with the dark skin, because of where he was from, and I choose to believe that the current image that we have of him, is in some degree authentic. I have seen him, in one way for 23 years, and I don't choose to put another face on him now.

Jesus had dark skin and short dark hair as having short hair was custom. If you look at any painting, statue, or bust from that period of time they all depict men with short hair. Any writings from that period refer to men as having short hair. All roman emperor's who set the style for that period of time had short hair. Remember he was a Jew so his hair was also likely curly and likely had dark eyes. I'm sure he was also lean because of his diet and exercise.

no one really knows what jesus looked like everyone has their own idea of what he might've looked like but no ones sure. wut I do know about jesus is that he loved the world so much that he died to save us...he was beaten and bruised, they pierced nails into his hands and feet and hung himon a cross. satan thought he had defeated him but nothing can stop God! 3 days later jesus rose from the dead and is sitting at the right hand of God waiting... longing to came back to earth to redeem his people and if your saved you can live with him for all eternity in paradise and all you have to do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that God raised Jesus from the dead and invite him to live in your heart. but you have to leave behind all your old ways and resist temtations. it wont be easy but its worth it in the end

In the earliest Christian iconography, he looks like baby Horus. Later iconography has him looking like Bacchus, the god of wine.

Even the earliest Christians had no idea what he looked like.

the first kid that answered this may be correct because of the sun and his heritage
just like moses wife she was really dark they say almost black maybe because of where she lived or her heritage
but I agree I will continue to believe that he was 'white' from the way that I was brought up to believe.

and even those from 2000 year ago are dead too.

What a completely silly question. There isn't even one iota of proof that the man named Jesus described int he NT ever even existed, much less what he might have looked like.

Well, im pretty much 80% sure there was a jesus. And god in the question or not, that man was amazing because he was able to move worlds without violence. But on the question, he was middle easter, of course! Jesus was from islam so theres no way he could have been anything elce.

twilightgrl911, I never heard that one, but that is far from proof. Many people were crucified on a cross. How could they possibly know who it belonged to. There is absolutely not one shred of evidence of the existence of a man named jesus that was executed by the roman in jerusalem 2000 years ago. Not one. The first gospels were supposedly not written until about 60 years after christ supposedly died. They were then completely editied by constantine in the 4th century, where they converted all the old pagan holidays and rituals to christian ones. Like christmas, easter, communion. Nothing in christianity is original. It is all recycled from past religions.

Huh? It is not a hypothesis that there is absolutely no evidence that the man called jesus as depicted in the new testament ever existed. It is fact. If I am wrong, please show me the evidence.

Numbers 6:2-6

Jesus of Nazareth. He wasn't allowed to cut his hair.

People from Nazareth (Nazoreans) were permitted to cut their hair, but Nazarites (those devoted to God) were not.
