dodges are good because they're fairly simple and cheap to replace parts, and they're all about good old fashioned american muscle. the downside is that the cheap parts break all the time, and good old fashioned american muscle uses gas like nobody's business.
fords suck...geez, for soo many reasons. they're overpriced, underperforming, breakdown all the time, hard to work on, ugly pieces of crap. I hate fords. the only upside is that you can get 100,000 miles out of their trucks, no matter how bad you treat them. along those same lines though, no matter how good you treat your truck, you only get 100,000 miles out of it. I hate fords.
chevys are solid, fairly reliable trucks. the allison transmission has done wonders for them, as has the advent of the 6.0 liter v8, as opposed to the classic 5.7. if only they'd leave the antiquated OHV structure for something DOHC. they did it in most of their Cadillacs...I don't understand them. oh well.
so there's my quick rundown. I prefer dodges. I own a dakota 5.9 r/t, and I love her to death. if only she got better mileage...
