Why do people blame the media for everything?

why do people blame the media for everything. Like fatness and uglynes,
most of the time those people bring it on themselves. they blame mcdonalds for making them fat and the media for making them ugly. I personally am pretty and all of these people...

blaming other people for the way they are hurts.

some situations the media can be blamed, but in a lot of cases such as anorexia, there is a deeper meaning that just wanting to look like a model, I have an eating disorder, but the reason for this isnt because I want to look like a supermodel, there are other reasons behind it.
some basically, the media shouldnt be blamed for everything, I agree.

its because some people dont know who to blame, so they think of someone that could have done it to them... like fat people and McDonalds, if they didnt eat there they wouldnt be fat, but yet they blame McDonalds for making them walk through their doors and ordering a Big Mac... people are just willing to blame anyone but themselves.

We live in a world where people dont like to take responsibility... You can't really do much about that. Im not entirely sure I've heard the media being blamed for making anyone ugly, as far ugliness goes well people are just born the way they are... But the whole fat thing, well people dont like taking personal responsibility... so it's easy to sell them an idea that it isnt their fault it's the major coorperation's fault... We look for quick simple answers and so we blame others because it is the quickest simplest thing to do...

The only thing I can blame on the media for sure is all the school shootings. It was like a f*ckin chain reaction right after the first one. they got so much attention from the media that all these other sick f*cks thought it would be a great idea. Hey im a loser but I can make it on national television for this. like Virginia tec, the shooter sent a news station photos of himself with the guns and stuff. with all the media coverage of school shootings it set off a chain reaction.

they are showing any news more than one time 2 make popular their tv channel. thats why people are blaming the media. they are showing unneccessary news also.
