Nepal is a great place to visit. From a few friends I talked to, there is a civil war, but if you stay in the city of Kathmandu, for example, you should be OK. There are military checkpoints and if you look like a foreigner, they just wave you onwards.
From pics I've seen, it's an amazing place. They also have the oldest known bhuddist museum in the world there in Old Kathmandu, which has some fascinating relics.
If you do go, enjoy your trip.
Answer this Question: "Traveling to Nepal, is it not a good idea?"

Traveling to nepal, is it not a good idea?
I heard that Nepal has been in the middle of a cival war for a while now, ever since the previous king & most of the royal family was slain amid suspicious circumstances (the only surviving royal was at the dinner where it happened, but never accused). Traveling to Nepal, is it not a good idea, since they are in the middle of this war, or is it still safe there?
