The secret is taking the medication before the cramps start getting bad. I've learned to sense when they are coming, and I take pain medication. Ibuprofen is what works the best.
Also a good heating pad placed on your abdomen works well. If you dont have a heating pad, put hot water in a water bottle and use it instead.
Hot baths and excercise (I prefer walking) work good too! Good luck!
a hot water bottle always works 4 me
if you eat bananas the potasium in it
will actually make your cramps hurt a lot less!
hot water bottle's good, it works for me too!!
This is just a suggestion, but eventually you may want to consider some form of birth control... it should help...
You could go on the pill...thats what I got told to do but I refused to go to doctors because I dont like taking medication
I use hot water bottle...works sometimes.
I use a hot pad...like the ones you heat up and put around your neck. Its great.
also, you can wet a rag, wring it out, then heat it up in the microwave inside a ziploc (not too long or it will burn, tho!). then you stick the baggie in your pants and it keeps the warmth there for a while.
Hope that helps! I get bad cramps too...
Yea...all of these advices are good! Start taking the ibuprofen or advil a couple of days before you start your period. I buy those therma heating pads or whatever from the store. They have an adhesive on one side and you can place it right where you want it on your stomach and it won't move. They work great! They can get to be pretty pricey but if you're in desperate need, they work wonders. Also getting put on the pill can be a great thing too. It lightens your period and makes the cramps less painful. If you get lower back cramps you can use a regular heating pad for that. Hot baths help too! Good luck!
Heating pad usually works for me. Or lay on your back with your legs going straight up against the wall.
