Things to bring on an airplane

Okay, so I'm leaving for california tomarrow and I was wondering if I could bring these items on the plane-

Ipod
Camera (for when I get there, I don't want it in my suitcase)
pens
notebooks
chapstick
blanket
binder (to hold notebooks and all of...

my other sh*t, lol)
book
pencil
pencil sharpner???

and I think that's it

I think you're fine with that list.

I would say probably not a pencil sharpener. iPod, I would hope so but maybe not. People can detonate bombs with a phone and I wouldn't be surprised if it spread to iPods, but maybe security isn't worried about it. I think it would be safe to take that chance.

Make sure all of the things you want to bring can fit inside one smaller sized bag. I think they only let one carry on per person.

No. Cell phones are not allowed on planes because of terrorists detonating bombs with them. Plus they cause a lot of interference. I forget when it was, but they banned cell phones from planes a while ago. I don't even think you're allowed to have it on a carry on bag, but I could be wrong about that. I just know it has to be off.

I just flew to Puerto Rico last month, and you can have a cell phone on the plane. You just have to turn it off during the flight or put it in 'flight mode' if your phone has that feature.
