To obtain maximum results when you're trying to flatten your tummy, you need to focus on doing a combination of exercises. First, sit ups where you curl your upper boddy towards your knees while lying with your back on the floor your legs bent. This will tone sculpt your upper abdominal area.
The second major area you'll need to work on is the lower abs, work those by doing the opposite - lie flat on the ground and curl your legs into your body.
The third area you'll need to work on is your obliques, the muscles at the sides of the abdominals. Best thing for these is to do curling sit ups and leg lifts, and also some form of cardio for at least thirty minutes, four or five times a week.
You'll also need to watch your diet, avoid late night binge eating or midnight snacks as that will ruin your ability to flatten the physical appearance of your stomach.
Good luck.
Of course along with Diet and other exercise:
Lay down flat on your back on the carpet (make sure there is plenty of room around you)
Lift your legs up together straight up in the air.
Slowly let them down diagonally to the right then before letting them hit the ground, crunching your stomach slowly bring them back up to 90 degree angle.
DO THIS DOWN THE CENTER AND TO THE LEFT ALSO.
One set onsists of 1 right, 1 center, 1 left.
Do 5 sets daily at one time.
After a few weeks(3) move to 10 sets daily.
I don't even have to do that many. I have been doing these after a friend showed them to me and they work great. I have lost over 30 pounds and only have about 14 more lbs to go before I have washboard abs. I hope your pursuit for a better you goes well!
oh and Im turning 21 next week so I know what you mean.
