Why do I get a strange taste on my tongue every time after I drink some sort of tea?

Either it is because the tea is too hot for your tongue, or it is the herb in the tea that makes your tongue get little alergic that makes its taste sense/ taste nerve get disturbed for a while.

you might be acidic or the tea you are drinking is a new flavor to you and it has an aftertaste.

nope, i only drink green tea and lipton sun tea so its not new to me at all.

That “taste” is likely the tannin in the tea, as it tends to leave an after taste. If you try drinking teas that don’t contain tannin, you may notice a difference.
