Statutory rape

My fience who is 17yr male and sex with a 13yr female, who claimed she was 14, had sex and now since she is jealous of our relationship, she is trying to press charges againist him. What could happen to him and what can we do to help this, she lied about...

her age and I don't wanna lose him, because we are engaged and I'm having his child. What can we go? Whats gonna happen to him? (we are in the state of georgia, but she's from florida)

Well...he could face big time penalties...but hes not 18 yet there for not a adult so it won't be tooo bad...he could get some jail time though...my suggestion is that you talk to the young girl and tell her what shes doing...and let her know that its VERY wrong...and talk to your finacee as well and try and find out why he had sex with a young girl.
