Yes you can freeze them. My mom used to freeze them all the time. She usually boiled it sliced up with onions in it for flavor

you can cut it up. and dip it into raw eggs then into flour. sort of like frying chicken. set the stove to about medium and cook. until crisp. add salt afterwards. and its great.
