How to get rid of split ends?

I have a lot of split ends in my hair and my hair is really breaking I used to have hair down to a little below my shoulders but know its just a little past my neck im black so my hair is different help me please! thank you

aren't split ends horrible.
I don't blow-dry or straigten or colour or use anything like that on my hair.
yet I still get split endsa dn hair hair falls out/breaks easily.
although that's partly to do with my ED :x
I just trim my hair often.
