the best thing to do is find something to do that will take your mind off being depressed- puzzles, artwork, writing, doing voluteer work at an animal shelter or volunteering to help people.

You can count it all joy for whatever is thrown at you, when you trust in the Lord to bring you through every situation, good and bad. He knows your every thought, and the one you just had, and even that new one!
When you think of how grand everything will be in heaven and how there will be no more tears, how then should we live while we are here for such a short time on this little earth?

Get out of the house and go do something. Maybe get a change of scenery. like baldwinwolf said go do some volunteer work or just anything else.

When I am really down it is hard for me to motivate to get outa the house or do anything but yes...this is the best form of action. I find that if I can get myself to call a friend and make plans it helps. I want to hear about their lives instead of my own. I write in a journal and that helps (blog really). If I write all my morbid thoughts down it really helps to purge it out.

Sometimes I need a good cry...

Taking a long walk seams to help. Gets me out and gets that seratonin up. I take my music with me and usually listen to some old tunes that remind me of better times. Something nastalgic. I fight depression too so I know how it is. Hope you are feeling better soon.

wright down on a piece of paper all the things you are depressed about.. then ripp the piece of paper into tiny pieces. A councellor told me to do this.. not sure if it works x
