My boyfriend is like that, alot of the time he will just stay in the den all night and tell me to leave him alone, he has depression and social anxiety. I think that may be what you are going through, social anxiety. I personally don't see anything wrong with that, he still lives a normal life, but he had to get a job where he doesn't have to deal with many people and I am the only person in his life. He went for two years without working at all and it was very difficult on me in a financial manner because I was the only one working. I think if you talk to a therapist they should be able to find out if you have a problem or tell you what is going on. He has not accepted help from a doctor, he went for a while because I made him go but he quit going. He does seem to be getting better on his own though, There may not be anything wrong with you at all, you might just want to be alone, solitude is good for the mind, you have alot of time to think and you can use it to learn and become more intelligent. Some of the most intelligent minds desire isolation like authors and scientists. Don't worry too much about it.

Something wrong with wanting to be alone?
Over the past year I've started to distance myself from most people, I've recently discovered I can't stand being in the prescence of another person. Is there anything wrong with this sort of attitude? I heard humans went insane if placed in isolation,...
yet to me it sounds like a dream.
Is this just my own personality? Or is this rather weird?
