How can I get more sleep during pregnancy?

hey guys I’m 5 and a 1/2 months pregnant right now and I have been having trouble sleeping when I go to go to sleep I always have to pee or have an erge to eat and I get up all night from the baby kicking do you guys know of any ways I can get my baby to calm down a bit and relax while I try to sleep and what do I do about the having to pee and eat thing??

Oh, those unforetold irritations of pregnancy. You have a few of things happening that occur to just aboout every pregnant woman to one level or another. The urinary urgency is because the baby is resting up against your bladder when you lie down. The only thing that ever helped me was to stop drinking about 4 hours before bedtime. I still had to get up, just not as frequently. The cravings are irksome, but you can try to outsmart them by having things on hand to quell the intensity. Sometimes it is your body asking for salt or vitamin C or calcium. so try to figure out what your cravings supply and have it available. The sleeeping thing is just your hormones and nerves anticipating the arrival. Do the same thing you would do if you weren’t pregnant. Take a warm shower, have a chocolate bare, get comfortable. And remember that this is the last time you will be able to have a good nights rest for the next 18 years! Good luck and congratulations.
