I sit at home alone all day, what can I do?

I don’t really want to go outside because it’s freezing and raining all the time. I don’t have any friends either, so I’m sitting at home bored all day. Please don’t tell me to go out and get a job, because I’ve been applying for several jobs.. I just haven’t had any luck yet. So what is there for me to do?

When I’m bored I like going to the gym :D. It can be a bit of an investment, but the benefit is that it not only kills time, but has positive effects on your health in the short and long terms. If not going to a gym, even going for a daily run or joining yoga classes may be worth your while. If you land a job that will eat up heaps of time, so that would also work, lol. Another added benefit of yoga classes or a gym membership would be the possibility of making new friends, and that could also be a big help to you.

You should join a sport or something. It’d help you meet new people and it’d be fun(((: I know it rains and snows and stuff but you can join a swim team that practices in indoor pools. Something like that.

You could do volunteer work and help others whilst relieving your boredom. Doing volunteer work will not only ease your boredom staying home all day long, but it will give you valuable hands on work experience.

Since you have internet, you can possible learn some skills, such as teach yourself programming skills, website design skills or even teach yourself to read a language. That’s some of the things I would do.

Go to the Gym, answer more funadvice questions, volunteer, video games, art, make friends, get a dog or cat.
