Not the sims 3...

There's different cheats for the sims 3, and the sims 2 cheats dont work on the sims 3 either

ya try shift ctrl and c and type in rosebud I think thats like 10,000 sim money.

on sims to there is mother lode and you get 50,000 dollars

You have to type motherlode with no spaces in TS2.
This link has all the cheats listed and tells you what expansion pack they came with (you can find the same info in the READ ME in Start/All Programs/EA GAMES/The Sims 2/your latest ep/Read ME)
