Sims 2 pets problems?

My sims 2 pets wont download and I don't know y. When I put the disk in nothing comes up and I go through everything and I cant find it. I've had it sence christimas so I can take it back and I don't know what to do with it. Please help me out?

Hi,

When you put the disc in, nothing comes up? This really only means the computer isn't auto-running the disk.

If you're using windows, go to start, run and then click on D:// or whichever drive your Cd-rom drive is. Then you can run it manually.
