Why aren't my sims 2 downloads showing?

why cant I install the sims 2 downloads I have the sims2 file maid that does it for you it says they are installed but they dont show on the game I've turned on custom content and I've turned off custom browser but they still dont show any ideas?

Sounds like a technical problem. I've never actually played Sims. I'd contact their customer service/technical support. They've probably had this problem reported before and know how to fix it.

I've ran into this, not sure if it will work for you but it's worth a mention I suppose.
On mine it put the files into mydocuments/eagames/sims2. Inside the sims2 folder is a download folder.. if not create one. Move all the stuff that has been extracted by your MAID into that folder. you can just cut and paste pretty easy. when the game loads make sure to check Enable custom content. check it out and see if that helps.
