Signs that a cat has cancer?

What are some signs that a cat has cancer?

Usually theyll have lumps or tumors that grow on them,under their skin.

1. any lump/tumor that seems to be growing.
2. a sore that doesnt heal.
3. change in bladder habits.
4. unexplained bleeding.
5. loss of appetite
6. weight loss.
7. difficulty breathing.
8. cat smells bad.
9. has trouble eating/swallowing.

The BIGGIE for kitties is leukemia...it's 'catchy' for cats...Maybe you might like to tell us the symptoms.

she isnt eating or drinking anymore. very distant. not gaining weight, very weak, cant walk with good balance. not using the bathroom.

I had to have my cat put to sleep in May because he had Leukemia. He was suffering.

He started out by not eating. He would drink water till he nearly busted though. He was very confused and he moved his head from side to side as if he were seeing things that weren't there.

He began to just lay around and when he did get up, he had difficulty walking, until, finally, he didn't even try anymore. He peed on himself.

The Vet checked him out on several occasions for other things. A lot of you know the story of Toonces.

The main thing, I think, is that if you see that your cat is not eating (even salmon or tuna), take him to the Vet. Our Vet didn't find out that Toonces had Leukemia, until they did blood work. Have that done if you can.

thanks yup that sounds like exactly whats happening to my cat. thatnks 4 your comment. this isnt contagious right? I have another cat but she is very healthy eats very well very active and uses the bathroom great!

I'm not sure if it is contagious but I will find out.
