Science fair project ideas

Im looking for a really good science fair project to do. Im in 8th grade, but my science teacher wants it to be something a high schooler could do. Every time I come up to him and say my idea, he says a kindergardner could do it. I've looked everywhere on the web for some good ideas but im not having any luck. Any ideas?

in my school. which is a very advanced school, the eight graders did the the higher you go in altitude the lower the temperature will be. and the ninth graders just make a wind mill and see how many paperclips it can pick up when you put a blow drier on it
