Scene hair, need help

Shark Atack Asked by funadvice about 1 year ago, 9 answers.

Okay, big hair, poofed up from top. I know people say tease it.. But thats a lie.. It just makes a big tangled knot in my hair.. How do I get my hair poofed up from the top? ( for scene hair)

well maybe you should brush it up... wait is that teasing your hair because I know nothing about hair I either have my hair in a ponytail or it is down. well maybe you should look that up on the internet or simply ask a friend.

You could try blowdrying your hair upside down maybe? Not too sure, I don't do this to my hair, but I just thought it may give you some volume to work with.

thats what teasing is, your hair cant stay big without it being messy and tangled
but thats how it stays there and stays put!
so if you want that big poofy scene hair then your going to have to allow it to get tangled
ansd then once the day is over brush it out carefully or wash it

OMG! I don't believe that band hair is making a comeback! This is how we used to do our hair when I was a teenager and we were all going out.

Great video stephanie! That is exactly how we used to do ours but we used way more hairspray, lol Maybe that's why I refuse to use it now,lol

first off... you'll need uber short layers on top.. like about an inch higher than your ears.. and you need to straighten every bit of it. id recomend a ceramic straightener.. but any kind works. once it's alll stright.. lift your layers peice by peice and spray hairspray at the roots, then take a comb and brush back and forth(kinda tangle) the roots with a comb (no brushes used from this point on). do that through ALL the short layers. then once you've done all of that your hair should be sticking kindof up.scrunch the layers with your hands so theyre not gross looking but gorgeously poofed looking :D
so yeah.
any questions?

okay... teasing isnt a lie... your just not doing it right. Grasp about an inch wide worth of a layer and spray a spot of hairspray on the underside. On the same side, take a teasing comb (like the picks they have in afro's.) or some other teasing bruch, and backcomb it so its a bit messy. do this with all the top layers and some underneath layers. Finish off with some more hairspray and is should look right. dont expect a perfect hairstyle first time rounds. just like eyeliner- practice makes perfect.
