Said something i shouldn't have

Asked by irishgirly 11 months ago, 6 answers.

Today, outside of school, I was talking to somebody and said well you lucky that you don't have Mrs...blahblahblah...and it turns out that the teacher was right behind me. She either went inside right after I said that or was already going inside. I'm...

not sure what to do and I feel really bad. She's not my teacher anymore, but still...

Most teachers know that they always get mixed reviews. Some students like them, some hate them. Most just hate school.

Even if you said something derogatory about her and she DID hear you, it probably didn't phase her.

You can try talking to her about it or just let it pass. If you feel bad about it, though then you should talk to her about it, anyway.

I don't know if you heard me talking about you or not but I said something somewhat disrespectful. Whether you heard me or not I feel kind of bad about it and I wanted to apologize.

Never hurts! Good luck.

Maybe you could go and apologize? It's never easy, but it would probably help.

(And don't feel bad, we all have certain teachers that make us angry.)

Yes, apologizing will make you seem well on your way to being a considerate adult.

But I'm not sure if she even heard me.

It will ease your conscience anyway, since you seem to be a little guilty. She's probably got tough skin, but it would I think mean a lot to her if you just fessed up. Even if she didn't hear you, though she probably did.

Consider it a personal growth experience.
