How much you burn typically depends on your metabolism, speed, distance, length, as well as weather elements, inclines, and such. I love rollerblading, I'm an avid blader and have been for the last 3 years, and I skate between 15-20 mph for 10 miles a day. when I first started blading, it helped me lose SO MUCH WEIGHT initially because it built my leg muscles like crazy which helped boost my metabolism BIG TIME and I started off just skating a few miles a day at 5-10 mph. At my current rate and distance, I usually come back from a run drenched in sweat, I chow down between 1700 and 2500 calories a day, and not only do I not gain an ounce of weight, I'm still losing it - but that may also be because I've incorporated a strength training regime to my weekly workouts. But yeah, blading can easily burn 800 or more calories a session, at the very least 200 - and that's going very slowly --that's actually the amount of calories a person burns while also burning out their knee joints pounding the pavement for 30 minutes. Its a WAY better workout than running and now I can't help but look at runners like they're idiots - unless they look like they're having a good time of course.

the number of calories you can burn in one session can vary so much depending on your weight and the intensity of your workout, so it's impossible to get an exact number. that sucks for those of us who count every single calorie, but you can get a rough idea. just push yourself as hard as you can for as long as you can. I always feel like I'm wasting my time if I'm not drenched in sweat afterwards.

Calories burned from rollerblading?
Send me Fun Mail
I rollerblade a lot when it's nice outside, but can't currently due to abrasive Weather. So..I looked up Rollerblading on websites to see how many calories it supposedly burns an hour. And I got as low as Four Calories, all the way to eight-hundred..does anybody know the accuracy in that and what the truth is? I'd love to know because I'm a thirteen year old Female trying to lose more weight. And I'm a workout-holic. thanks.
