How do I deal with racism in school?

Peple at school are bein racist callin me a 'hairy indian gal'. I feel like no one likes me because im indian. what shuld I do?

Don’t think because you are Indian no one likes you no it’s wrong be proud for what you are. Don’t care about what they said and have a self confident.

I thnk being Indian should detemine if someone lykes you or not. if you have few close frends then keep them. If you have at least 1 or 2 people who care about you yur good. those other racist people are stupid. just say 2 them that yur a person. who cares if yur Indian?

ask them to look back in their family tree. everyone came from somewhere. Unless you are 100% true native american someone somewhere in your family came from somewhere else. but also remember you shouldn't hate them because they hate. then you would be racist toward racist people... Just pity them for their lack of knowledge.

theyre effin stupid...just tell them to F**K OFF!!! just kidding but I think theyre just ignorant...if theyre going to judge you for your nationality then obviously theyre not worth your time...dont worry about stupid people like that theyre probably just jeaous of u...thats how kids are these days... well all I can say is dont get all cought up in everything and just live life how ever you want to...u want to b happy?? forst off, the people telling you that shoud be %*&$@ slapped. second, if their that ignorant that they judge soemone on where they came from, their not worth listing to. thats almost as bad a s judging who you want to date just be how hott they are.

well I for one think that's really cool to be indian because I wish I knew more about the different tribes. and I know what you mean about the racism because in my town there are people who hate spanish people but the town mostly consists of spanish people as funny as that sounds but look at it this way just think to yourself the next time someone teases you just think 'their just jealous' and ignore them because if you do then after awhile they'll get tired of it and leave you alone. hope I helped

You guys...she said she's Indian, not Native American, they're two different things. Now, it's possible she's Native American and referring to herself as 'Indian,' but being Native American myself, I HIGHLY doubt that.

To the original poster, people will always make fun of you because you're different. If you had red hair, it'd be that, if you were tall, it'd be that.
There's nothing you can do but smile and turn the other way, and know that by behaving badly, they only hurt themselves.

So what if you are indian, People shouldnt be racist you are normal just like everyone else its not like there is anything wrong with you. You are a human being after all not like you are a giant or anything. Let them say whatever they wont to do but I would personally just ignore them they need to get a life if thats all they can do with their lives and be racist then that is up to them, they arent going to get very far in there life. Walk past them and turn your head the other way they will soon get used to you ignoring them and they wont like it.
