Racism exists when when there is a belief that someone's traits are determined by their race, not when you acknowledge another race exists. 'White' is an acceptable shortcut replacement for 'Caucasian' or 'Anglo-Saxon' or the like.

If it was phrased in a context of 'all white people apply rouge to their butt cheeks and enjoy the comedy stylings of Jim Nabors,' then it's racism.

While we're on the subject of labels, can we all please agree to cut out the 'African-American' nonsense as a replacement for 'black'? A dark-skinned Trinidadian is neither African nor American, but if he were walking down the street in Topkea, half the population would call him African-American.

Well, is calling a person a black buy a white racism? No its not. Its just easier to generalize than to split hairs with those kinka things. Its my belief that most people dont want to be called anything but people. Everyone wants to be more of an indavidual than grouped together.

'Black' is an acceptable term, just like 'white' is. I don't think many people of any race have a problem being called 'black' or 'white'. It's the slang words created to belittle or hurt people based on their race that are found offensive.

In my opinion a black person can call you a cracker or something like that but its like we are just supposed to stand there and let them do it without any kind of response. I have had a black teacher call me a cracker before and I accidentaly responded out of rage and clled her a nigg** so in my opinion white and black is the terms we should use not anything else

My friend refers to me as white, I refer to him as black...neither of us feel insulted by it.

I believe 'honky' is the term that is used for white racism. It is in some of the Bond films from the seventies anyway, and it really does annoy Bond so it's perfectly acceptable to classify it as white racism.

Black or white are fine. African american is for people with a stick up their butt. No common terms should have that many syllables, it's too much trouble. And it only shows that it's a new term. Of course everyone was racist before that term became common . But hey, if the PC people popularize a better term with less syllables, then maybe I'll jump on board.

uhhh..there's nothing derogatory about the word white..now if a black person called a white a 'cracker' in the intention to offend, then yes that's racist. but u.r make question makes no sense, you need to reevaluate.
