Answer #19

Jesus spoke to the issue of fear, over and over in the word, and tells us to resist it, as it is the opposite of faith. The more we know about him and his word, and the salvation that he offers, the less afraid we will be. As you study his word, you see that he is for you and not against you, and you long to be where he is.

I have always hoped that when it comes my time to leave here, it will painless… as I am a wimp in that area. I would like to pass from this life to the next in my sleep, peacefully. I do not want anyone to mourn, I would rather they rejoice… for then, my race is over… and my reward is sure.

I long to be with my savior… however, I identify with Pauls words in scripture, which say, To live is Christ, to die is gain.

I pray for those of you who feel fear, to find the peace of God, which passes all understanding, and it is available… just keep seeking him and reading his word… it will come.

Answer #20

Two things in life are certain: birth and death. If we are still breathing, we have been born, and at some point will die. There is no other option. Those in Christ will pass on, but their souls will rejoice with Our Savior. Those who don’t know Christ will also pass on and their souls…will be judged. Not a place I want to be. I would rather hear “Well done good and faithful servant!” Come Lord Jesus, be our guest and let this new year celebration in Your Word be blessed!

Answer #22

I watched my father die when I was just a kid, it was terrifying. Now I am a man of faith and my only fear of death is that I am afraid to die as a coward.
