Proper skin care for dry skin?

I have really dry and dull skin and I need help taking care of it. I don't have any problems with acne or anything,but I still like my skin to be clean and have a beautiful youthful glow. I used to wash my face twice a day as I was supposed to do, but my skin kept getting dry and irritated. Now,I just wash my face once a day, every morning, with Phisoderm. I was wondering would that help my dry skin? I miss my glowing skin. Please help.

I use mary kay moisturizer and really helps with dry skin without making your face look oily.
before applying my makeup and after the moisturizer I also use mary kay tinted moisturizer that goes under my makeup and it really helps to smooth out your skin and control splotchiness.

Use a moisturizer after you get out of the shower. This will make your skin much softer.

The face wash you may be using might be irritating your skin...
Look for a different that is made for dry skin.
