You have to check her diaper often. When you see that she's wet, put her on the potty. Also, get in a routine of taking her and just putting her on the potty at certain times (first thing in the morning, right before a meal, before you leave the house, before bed). After a while, she will get the point. So there's a lot of patience involved too. I have two girls and this seems to work fine.

I think a lot of parents simply try to potty train their kids too young. Some parents act like having their kids potty trained at a young age reflects well on their child's intelligence and their own parenting skills. Some signs that a child is ready for potty training is that they wake up dry most mornings and that they are aware of when their diaper is wet or dirty.

my son is 2 years old and he is still in the potty training process. I simply telll him to tell me when he has to go to the b-room. and he does it at daycare all the time but when he gets home to me he poops in his diaper and then tells me he has to go to the b-room so when I see the poop in there he thinks he's not in trouble. lol. its going to take time and my problem with my son is he usually just gets cought up in playing or something and doesnt want to stop to go to the b-room. but when theyre old enough to tell you they have gone poop in their diaper then its time to potty train! yay! so I am going to start giving him a treat when he tells me he has to potty and actually goes IN THE POTTY. but if he doesnt then he will be in time out for 2 minutes(one minute for every year of age). if he knows he is not supposed to potty in his pants but does it any ways just because he doesnt want to get up and go-then I see no problem with punishing him.
