How can i get my son to ask for the potty?

my son will not ask for the potty unless it is bedtime how do you handle that

We usually prompt our kids to go to the bathroom, eg, before we go out so that we don't need to find one, etc.

Try doing that see if they don't get in the habit on their own.

I rewarded my sons with Hot Wheels cars when they asked and went to the potty. I read books, watched It's Potty Time a million times (drink a couple glasses of wine and watch with adults for some great entertainment); nothing was working. Finally went to bribery and it worked like a charm both times. We would go right to the local drug store and pick out a car. This practice obviously drifted away in a couple of weeks after it became second nature.
