Self harm problem

I'm not trying to get attention
I just need help I need to stop my addiction
I have a self- mutilating problem and it been a month I've been cutting a lot
I think the scars could be infected =[
I put some neosoprin to stop the reddness

I need help...

please
give me some advice
tips anything to help me stop =[

definatley check out those links from ethmer. I used to cut myself too, I have scars all over my arms and I will have to live with them forever. I stopped because I realized one day that my body is the ONLY body I will ever have, and I do not want to mutilate it. so I had to find other ways to release my emotion.

I have the problem to I still have it but I don't do it as often when I feel that I want to cutt myself I go outside and just run and just try to stop thinking about what cause me to think about it in the frist place

Yah I had a friend who had a problem like this too. I know that you don't want to hear that you need to see a councelor but that is how my friend stopped. A relationship with somebody you trust and you know is not going to hurt you is good too. Not like a boyfriend girlfriend thing but just somebody to talk to, kind of like a mom but you accually feel comfortable to be around and trust their advice. Nothing is worth hurting yourself over. omg I feel so bad 4 u. if the cuts are infected you should go 2 a doctor so you dont regret it and as 4 the cutting I think you should tlk 2 a frnd of adult you trust 2 help u.

my friend has that problem too, but its not infected. like I talk to her all the time and tell her to stop. She syas she does it because she is inside all day and she gets depressed. so I recommend hanging out with your friends a lot. it gets your mind off of it and it will help you in the long run.
also you can remove all of the sharp objects out of you room so when your in there you wont be tempted. and ask someone to hid all of [whatever you use here/or could use] so you cant find them and youll be able to help yourself.

Ok, so...

I was datin' a girl some time ago, for about 1 year and a half...
She was making me suffer a lot, and suddenly I started to hurt myself (because I didn't wanted to hurt her)...
I first started with some punches against walls and stuff.
Then glasses (which hurt me pretty bad at times)
And then, finally, I cut myself... Today, I have a really big scar on my arm to feel ashame of.
I broke up with her, which made me feel a whole new person. That solved my problem.

So, what makes you feel like that? Are you sad? If yes, why? Or you just feel like doin' it?

Try screaming every time you feel like hurtin' yourself.

I won't give you any empty tip or advice, because I've been through the same thing, and I know how delicate this things can be.
