Can the doctor tell my girlfriend's mom we've done it?

My girlfriend's mom wants her to get a pap smear. Her mom said she was going to ask the doctor if my g/f has had sex. How accurately can a doctor tell. What exactly are they looking at. Her mom can't know we've had it.

Doctors can tell if shes a virgin or not but you cant tell whether she has had sex or not, unless her vagina's skin is red around it. The hymen could have already been broken by a tampon, riding a bicycle, playing sports, or other activity's.

Okay the doctor will be able to tell. There is a small piece of skin up inside of the vagina and when a girl has had sex, this gets ripped. Now if your girlfriend has ever done gymnastics cheerleading, dancing or horsebackridding this may have already torn. All the doctor will be able to say is weither or not the piece of skin has been ripped.

If your girlfriend asks him not to discuss it with her mom, he's bound by law not to. Otherwise your girlfriend could file one heck of a lawsuit on him. It's none of her mom's buisness, and the doctor can't tell her.

littlebit30311 is describing the hymen, which isn't "up inside the vagina" it protects the opening. This doesn't determine whether or not one is a virgin. There are many other signs, like the skin being red in that area, which is a sign of recent sexual activity.

If somehow the doctor does tell the mother that her hymen is broken, ensure that the doctor makes it clear to the mother that the hymen can be broken by many activites like those named by the previous helpers.
There are also websites which can inform the mother of hymens broken by things other than sex.
Try google 'hymen' and showing her the sites if she doesnt believe your word.

doctors cannot discuss their patients with anyone besides the patient. Even if the mom saks, he can not tell her, as it is against the law.
