Petty theft charge

Asked by happyallday 4 months ago, 1 answer.

Three years ago, I have been convicted of a petti theft charge. I have found it very hard to find employment. No one seems to want to hire me and for the very few that does, once they run a background ck, no offer is extended. I have a BS degree in management, and no other criminal charges. Any suggestions as to where I can look

Thx

As difficult as it may be you need to keep trying. The best advice I can give you is to disclose your past early. Don't let them find out through the background check tell them yourself. Also if you have a B.S. in management you should try to find a job through a friend or family member. A word of mouth recommendation holds a lot of weight.

Most importantly, be honest about your past. If you look like you are hiding the past it will look worse than it is.

Good Luck!
