does anyone know how much notary publics are allowed to charge? Is it different state by state? new york?

I'm not sure, I live in VA and I know people who do notaries. But they signed up for these companies online who call you and let you know they need something notarized, where it is and how much they will give u. I'm not really sure tho so try to google it...

I don't know, but there are people who will do it for free. try the human resource center at your work, they probably have someone there that will do it for you. That's what I did.
