she might be in heat agian
She could be in heat or it could be her anal glands. Some dogs need their glands expressed and if they aren't, they will secrete a nasty smelling discharge. The vet should be able to expel it for you.
Editor is probably on the right track...doggie oder can be caused by the anal glands (and since she doesn't 'stink' all the time...this would sound likely to me).
phrannie
Im not sure...this happens to my dog too but she has been neutered(or whatever it is when she cant have puppys) ...my mum says it could be like monthlys !?
No, it's not normal at all. She could very well have pyrometra in which case RUN, don't walk to the vet. Spaying your female will certainly help avoid these types of illnesses in the future and will liberate her from heats. It's the responsible thing to do on all counts.
I hope you seek out veterinary help immediately.

What's the smell from my dog?
Send me Fun Mail
I just adopted a female dog, that had puppies about 10 weeks ago. Every once in a while she puts off a really bad smell. Is this normal? It seems to be when she licks her girl area. Could this be an affection?
