your lucky it's your mom, I had to tell my dad, lol, but it wasn't that bad. just wait til she's alone relaxing on the couch or somethin and sit down with her. start a conversation and then be like I got my period a little while ago (or wutever time or day) and I wanted to know if you could take me to get some pads.
it's not so bad to tell them, unless she's like one of those people who think periods are bad thinks or talk about it in fron of people. good luck and welcome to hell, lol.

really it's nothing to be embarrassed about, but I definitley remember that first time!!! it is a little embarrassing at first...but just pull her aside and simply say, 'I just got my period.' if she's like my mother was she'll bring it up before you can ask...and she'll probably be more excited than you *sigh*

If you are old enough to have a period you are old enough to buy your own pads. Why wouldn't you tell your mother you've gotten aunt flow. She is a woman, and has probably got one herself. For that matter, she probably has some pads such lying around. If you start off your life being scared to ask/talk to your mother about this, then it will effect the rest of your youth. If not a mother, ask an aunt or older cousin?

Its nothing to be embarrased about.
I'm sure your mother is very understanding. Simply go up to her and tell her the problem. She'll understand since she was once your age. To her, its probably no big deal.
She'll take you to the store and buy you your pads.
So, just simply go up to her and tell her.
