Should i go on birth control for periods if i might gain weight?

please
ok so i was regualr for 2 years then i missed it 4 eight months
then i jus got it friday nd it was a very light flow nd it is gone already.i am supposed to be regular my doctor says i may need hormones or steriods.but ewww they make...

you gain weight.what should i do
i am almost 15

wow that alwayss happens to me..eat healthy and regularly..like..make ur meals consistent...otherwise of course your gunna inconsistent lol :P

It's probably due to you being young, so I wouldn't panic over it yet. It could have to do with extreme weight loss, so if you've lost a lot of weight recently, see a doctor to get back to a healthy weight. It could also be due to your diet.
In any case, talk to your mom, and/or a doctor.

You should get a blood test done and have your doctor check the hormone called Prolactin and also the thyroid stimulating hormone.

If you're too think or too heavy, it could cause this.You may be having a problem with your thyroid gland, or another hormonal problem.

Are you on the pill? Cause that messes with your period too.
