Why is my belly button ring itchy?

í've got my belly button peirced and all of a sudden its itchy.. on top were the ball does up..
this is the 2nd time its been peirced..
its been peirced for a year or more..
is this weird

My mums a body piercer and this is completely normal.. Infact this is a good sign.
Itching is a sign of healing, so this is completly normal, trust me I have 17 peircings, been there, done that. This is not weird at all!

Its normal!
I don't know why it happens but I've had mine for almost 5 years and it still randomly gets itchy sometimes.
